“We wanted to find a product that would help people bring a little peace of mind to their life,” says Ryan Lauf, one of the owners of Leisure Hammocks. “Life right now is very stressful, with people working hard, and we wanted to help people find a way to relieve a little stress. We thought hammocks would go a long way toward that.”
Launching the new blog has made things easier on clients by providing them with regularly-updated information on new products and sales, as well as the goings-on of the site. “We would like to use our blog for product feedback and to get new product ideas,” says Ryan. “We’re also looking for any sort of photographs from where people have their hammocks and how they’re enjoying their product — we’re looking to start a promotion where we choose a picture taken from a customer’s hammock and give the customer some sort of reward. We’ll also be posting articles regularly about hammocks.”
Ryan will also be discussing the upcoming plans for Leisure Hammocks in their second year. “We’re looking for more manufacturers, specifically those with different designs or innovations,” he explains. “We’re also looking to go global; right now we’re focused on North America, but that will change. We have a second site in development, too, so we’re looking for products and manufacturers for http://www.TheSportsmansDepot.com, a hunting and fishing equipment web site. Beyond all of that, though, we’re going to stay focused on a stress-free life, bringing a little Zen back to people with our hammocks.”
