My boyfriend and I are getting our first apartment pretty soon and I am looking for some neat things to put in various rooms of the place.
Considering the fact that we already have all of our basic furniture and stuff like that, I want to find little quirks.
He is a bit “I like rock and roll and dark colors” and I am a bit “I like to burn incense and have weird statues around”
We share most of the same ideas when it comes to “decorating” but I cant find too many web sites that have a lot of what we like.
An example that I can think of is howcool.com. (If you look past all of the clothes and make up there is a section with home decor in it) That site had things that were along the lines of what I was looking for.
Do you guys know of any other place I can look?

Hi this probably wont be much help, but if your in england, try www.yourgaf.com its this great shop for things like quirky ornaments an things. There is two stores in the uk, both in newcastle, but I’m pretty sure they ship things. A good idea to add style to a room, ie living room or even a hallway etc. is to get a wall canvas. A black and white retro marilyn monroe or something similiar will show anyone who comes to visit that the house reflects your edgy style. A fun way to add personality to a bathroom is to make it plain white, and get really funky coloured towels etc, lime green, shocking pink etc, and throw them all in like a big colour splash!!! Get coloured plastic ducks etc, and you could even paint a few tiles different colours. Last of all, have fun!!
